We dont have microsoft accounts tied to these keys so I dont have a way to deactivate them and reactivate them. The preparing you office experience windows pops up but then quickly goes away and office remains unactuated. ![]() Ive tried putting in the key and I get no errors. Office, however, did not and wants the key to activate the installation. Everything is functional after a windows update to grab drivers. I tested this with a laptop and desktop and it looks like it works just fine. Each user will have a laptop only and a docking station it simplifies thinks a bit.Īnyway to save time, we were planning on taking the HDD out of the desktop machines and install them in the laptops to save a ton of down time moving everything over to the new machine. Some users here have both a laptop and a desktop machine but we are looking to move away from this. From what it looks like, we have office 2016 keys that could be activated on 5 machines each. ![]() Alot of the older microsoft office key buying and organization was done before my colleagues and I joined on the IT team so we dont have a tone of information to go on.
